What is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt?

Six Sigma Yellow Belts are entry-level participants in Six Sigma improvement projects. They work under the guidance of Green Belts and Black Belts to contribute to process improvement initiatives within their specific departments or areas of responsibility. 

Key responsibilities may include: 

  • Project Team Participation: Actively participate in Six Sigma projects, contributing their skills and supporting the project team. 
  • Data Collection: Collect and organize data related to project activities. 
  • Process Mapping: Assist in creating process maps and documenting current processes. 
  • Problem Identification: Identify potential problems and areas for improvement within their work processes. 
  • Data Entry and Management: Maintain accurate project documentation and data records.
