What Does It Mean To Earn Your Industry Certification As A Mental Health Support Professional?

The MedCerts Mental Health Support Professional program provides a solid foundation in mental health and mental health care, focusing on best practice skills to provide quality care to those served.

This program contains training that prepares students to care for individuals with mental or emotional conditions or disabilities. It also equips you with the knowledge of practice management and EHR software, as well as HIPAA and HITECH as it relates to privacy and security laws and measures.

Upon completion, students will be eligible to sit for the Mental Health Technician – Certified (MHTC) and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) exams through the AMCA.

This industry certification ensures individuals can:

Demonstrate understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) functionality and documentation
Distinguish intake, crisis care, inpatient care, and discharge duties
